I've been geeking out over games, puzzles, math, and programming for as long as I can remember. My granddad was a physics professor, and my mom was a math teacher, so when I went to college, I studied both! At the end of college, I decided to do more math, so I went to grad school at the University of Washington and studied combinatorics, which is all about counting things. I enjoyed teaching, TA'ing, and tutoring so much over those years that I started teaching directly after graduating.
I love helping people learn, and I believe everyone can have a personally fulfilling experience doing math. I'm a pretty chill guy who takes your education seriously and approaches learning in a friendly, down-to-earth way.

I've also worked at the XQ Institute, where I gained experience with project-based learning and the Common Core.
